Structured as a non-profit organisation, it affords our top-performing BBBEE-eligible team members the opportunity to become its sole beneficiaries. More importantly, it allows us to develop our key people in a business management capacity, thus strengthening their management and leadership skills.
In addition, LimelightSA 4 Africa NPC is a 51% shareholder in LimelightSA the Agency, effectively making LimelightSA a Black-owned agency. We believe that this change in shareholding will stand us in good stead in our efforts to effect meaningful change in the advertising sector.
In fact, this is just the latest move in LimelightSA’s long-standing commitment to develop a more equitable economic environment for an all-inclusive, prosperous South Africa. Over the years we have partnered with organisations such as the Miracle Mission Orphanage (with whom we have had a relationship for over 15 years); provided funding and mentorship for small businesses; and sponsored study bursaries for individuals in the Creative and Business fields.
Aside from our own contributions, we have worked with our Clients on their communication campaigns – specifically in terms of consumer and shopper competitions – where we know we have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of their target audiences.
The LimelightSA team is excited about this new chapter in the history of our agency and trust that you will join us in levelling – and elevating – the advertising playing field to the benefit of all creatively-minded South Africans.
